The Land of the Nile - Part 2

One thing that surprised me about Egypt is that it is not just a land of Pyramids and Pharohs. There is a modern life as well to this country. This is evident from the numerous resorts of international standards located on the coastal belt of the region. One such place is Sharm-El-Sheikh situated on the coastal strip along Red Sea. We were lucky enough to get accomodation in one of the best resorts in the region, the Continental Plaza Beach Resort. This resort provides a spectacular view of the beach and also offers all facility for water sports.

Another attraction in this coastal area is Naama Bay. This area is famous for its beach, water sports, shopping streets and restaurants. I found this area best for some souvenir shopping and to taste some Egyptian food. One get the feel of a typical Arabic shopping street in this area.

  2. It is indeed a lovely place. If you are a "beach person" like me then Sherm is worth a visit.
