HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

A HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the wonderful mothers out there.

One of the best gift I love giving my mom is Chocolate Hampers. Yes, just like me she is also a chocolate fan. Whatever form it comes in whether as a drink, mousse, cake or just plain chocolate she loves it. Recently I got a craving for chocolate. I came up with a simple recipe to quench my craving. This is for you all the chocolaties out there. I have named it Coconut-chocolate balls
Ingredients
Coconut - 4 tbsp
Milkpowder- 2 tbsp
Nesquick(or any drinking chocolate)-1 tbsp
Mix everything nicely till it can be shaped into ball.
Coconut-chocolate balls are ready.

The Land of Nile- Part 4

What is Egyptian vacation without taking Nile Cruise! Yes that is the major attraction of Egypt- the Nile. Nile is considered to be the longest river in the world and it flows through 10 countries. The ancient Egyptian civilization flourished on the banks of river Nile. The present day Egypt is also depended on this river. The Nile flows through the major cities of Luxor, Edfu, Komombo and Aswan.

Luxor is the starting point of the cruise. This place is famous for Memnon statue, Temple of Queen Hatchepsut, The valley of kings, Karnak temple and Luxor temple. These temples are constructed in memory of the various pharohs who ruled Egypt. The Karnak temple is considered to be the most beautiful of all the temples. The Karnak light and sound show is one of the major tourist attraction.

The Land of the Nile - Part 2

One thing that surprised me about Egypt is that it is not just a land of Pyramids and Pharohs. There is a modern life as well to this country. This is evident from the numerous resorts of international standards located on the coastal belt of the region. One such place is Sharm-El-Sheikh situated on the coastal strip along Red Sea. We were lucky enough to get accomodation in one of the best resorts in the region, the Continental Plaza Beach Resort. This resort provides a spectacular view of the beach and also offers all facility for water sports.

Another attraction in this coastal area is Naama Bay. This area is famous for its beach, water sports, shopping streets and restaurants. I found this area best for some souvenir shopping and to taste some Egyptian food. One get the feel of a typical Arabic shopping street in this area.

The Land of the Nile- Part 1

One of the most interesting vacation we had so far is to The Land of the Nile- Egypt. Just like all my other vacations, this one was also well planned thanks to the numerous travel reviews sites. Eventhough we went for this trip sometime back, the memory still remains fresh in our mind. The fascinating and mysterious archaeological sites and stunning, colossal monuments of Ancient Egypt carried us away to a totally different world. The Pyramids of Giza, The temple of Hatshepsut, The Valley of Kings all still remains etched in our mind.No wonder the country is attracting more and more tourists.
